The Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB) has relocated from Dresden to Gerberstrasse 5 in Leipzig, close to the city centre, with around 500 bank employees. The new building ensemble is particularly impressive with its forest of columns in the publicly accessible forecourt of the forum. At a height of 22 metres, the 159 columns extend along the edge of the roof. The ground floor has consultation zones in the entrance foyer, a conference area with catering, a bistro canteen and an auditorium with 263 seats. In addition to single and double offices, the upper floors offer open-plan office landscapes and an extensive archive. The building has a full basement and an underground car park. The focus of the overall building physics consulting was the realization of a user-friendly building with a high energy quality. Thus, the extremely demanding outer shell, which was made of exposed concrete, was optimized under aspects of building physics. For the flexibly usable working areas with very special multifunctional user requirements, the realization of an acoustically high-quality equipment took place. Particularly in the publicly accessible zones, great importance was attached to acoustically undisturbed conditions for visitors and employees. for visitors and employees. Acceptance measurements of the frequency-dependent reverberation times confirmed the high level of acoustics. confirmed.
