The Prince Mahidol concert hall with a sea-ting capacity of 2,100 can also be used as a multi-purpose event hall for opera performances, jazz festivals, conventions and conferences. Thus, it is the first natural concert hall of its kind and size in Bangkok. In 2012, when the building‘s shell had already been completed, the client directly appointed Müller-BBM as the general planner for deve-loping an extensive re-design of the entire project. The College of Music of Mahidol University is affiliated to the concert hall which ensures an international exchange of conductors, compo-sers and musicians. The very first concert in the new hall was per-formed on March 23, 2014, during the 100th Anniversary World Tour 2014 of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of maestro Eiji Oue with solo violinist Kyoko Takezawa. HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn officially inaugurated the hall on April 17, 2014.

During the work phases re-design and interior construction, the consultancy as the general planner comprised extensive planning services for the archi-tectural design, room acoustics, audio, video and media technology as well as scenic lighting.
