On the former Reemtsma site in Berlin-Schmargendorf, a new commercial courtyard quarter is taking shape: GoWest. The development will comprise 12 buildings and provide space for urban manufacturing, skilled trades, the creative industries, and services.
On July 18, the topping-out ceremony took place. With a traditional topping-out speech, a raised wreath, live music, and even line dancing, the construction progress at GoWest was fittingly celebrated.
Among the attendees were Stephan Allner (Managing Director, DIE WOHNKOMPANIE Berlin GmbH), who welcomed the project, and Kurt Zech (Managing Partner & CEO of the ZECH Group).
Currently, buildings 6 and 7 have reached shell completion, and the data center, which will later supply the quarter with heat, is already finished. The project is being developed as an Efficiency Building 55.
