The Auralisation Explorer, developed by Kai Heller as part of his master's thesis at TU Berlin, brings acoustic planning to life. With this tool, users can interactively experience the acoustics of a room through different listening positions – ideal for presentations and exhibitions that want to convey room acoustics vividly. The Bergson Kunstkraftwerk was already in the spotlight last week and attracted a great deal of media attention. This was followed shortly afterwards by two further successful project completions of renowned cultural buildings, which were officially opened last weekend: the Theater an der Wien and the replacement venue OPAL Mannheim. These latest references from the cultural sector fill our team of experts from our room acoustics department with particular pride.

On 9 October 2024, the Elektra Tonquartier in the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk Munich celebrated its opening under the motto ‘BIG BANG’. The versatile concert hall, which is described as ‘unique in the world’, impressed the audience with a concert by the Bergson Phil' and the Jazzrausch Bigband. The Süddeutsche Zeitung praised the unique concert hall as ‘a stunner’ whose ‘big bang’ will reverberate for a long time to come.

Congratulations to ECKPFEILER Immobilien Gruppe GmbH on receiving the DGNB Platinum development certificate - with the highest result ever achieved for a neighbourhood certification and a degree of fulfilment of around 90%. The award was presented on 8 October at the EXPO REAL trade fair in Munich. A remarkable success and a strong sign of our commitment to sustainable building!

We are already looking forward to the opening of the Elektra Tonquartier in the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk Munich on 9 October - and especially to the premiere of the concert ‘Vivace’ on 20 October, which was specially developed for the innovative sound system by Müller-BBM Acoustic Solutions GmbH. A new video impressively shows the progress of the shell of the Krakow Music Centre, which is being built in a unique urban and green environment in Krakow. Special attention is paid to the acoustic planning for the concert hall and rehearsal rooms, which offer outstanding sound quality.

On 22 August 2024, the rebuilt tower of the Garrison Church in Potsdam was officially opened and is now open to the public. Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier gave a speech in which he described the church as a place that confronts us with our history and offers space for debates about the future.

The Peter Kaiser Hall, which was remodelled from a historic stable barn of the Hagen House in Nendeln (Liechtenstein), has now been completed. The newly designed concert hall offers first-class acoustic conditions for musical performances. We are delighted to announce that the Innovationsbogen Augsburg is one of the properties of the year 2024. The building impresses with its sustainable construction and architectural brilliance. With a façade made of recycled aluminium and photovoltaic systems on the roof, the project sets new standards for office complexes.

After seven years of construction, Freising reopened the historic Asam building as a unique cultural and civic centre on 19 July 2024. The baroque building in the centre of Freising now houses a theatre hall, a city museum, restaurants and more. The reception for invited guests in the flower-decorated Asam courtyard and the subsequent ceremony in the Asam Hall marked the highlight of this event.
