In 2025, a four-storey primary school designed by Hascher Jehle Design was built on the site of the former swimming pool on Johannesstraße. It is characterised by generous glazing and surrounding wooden pergolas, which are covered with fine metal mesh and planted with greenery. A special feature is the school playground on the roof of the two-court sports hall; with additional break areas located on balconies and loggias on the upper floors. Pedagogically, the building follows a cluster principle with open learning zones.

The focus of the design was on thermal building physics. The school was built to the Efficiency Building 40 standard. The pergolas in front of the building act as external, low-maintenance sun protection: they reduce solar gain, filter diffused light and create a thermal buffer zone in front of the classrooms. The greenery contributes to summer heat protection by providing shade. At the same time, visual references expand the learning spaces optically. Large windows are combined with coordinated g-values and effective shading, so that daylight utilisation and glare protection are in balance. Outdoor break and access areas shift heat-sensitive activities outside and relieve the indoor climate. A compact design, highly insulated, low thermal bridge envelope surfaces and airtight connections limit transmission and infiltration heat losses in winter.
