Thanks to Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland and the Weikersheim Castle Music Academy, the former Hohenlohe residence town of Weikersheim is known beyond the borders of the state as a meeting place for the high-quality exploration of music. With the new TauberPhilharmonie, the town now has another cultural landmark on the western bank of the Tauber. A first-class concert hall with a town hall function has been deliberately built here, rather than a multi-purpose hall, in order to offer the many people in the region who are interested in art and music a high-ranking cultural center.

Within the Tauberphilharmonie, the concert hall with its 640 seats is the centerpiece for classical music events. With finely tuned natural acoustics, the hall has a pronounced reverberation for orchestral and chamber music concerts. A large podium with an acoustically variable rear wall enables a wide range of usage scenarios. In combination with the Small Hall, a multifunctional event center is created whose rooms are acoustically designed in such a way that the halls can be used simultaneously without interfering with each other. The Small Hall can also be divided into thirds and used for small events, readings or lectures. Short distances from the catering kitchen to the two rooms and the option of using the foyer separately as an event venue complete the highly flexible concept. There is also a café that opens out onto the outdoor terrace and can be used by all public visitors regardless of whether the halls are in use.
