Building Acoustics
The new Würth Education and Training Center in Rorschach will have many technically well-equipped seminar rooms as well as a lecture hall that can be acoustically transformed. For this purpose, a large seminar and lecture hall has been created within the sophisticated building complex, which can also be used for classical concert events.
The room acoustics of the lecture hall are deliberately designed to meet the requirements of a speech room with first-class speech intelligibility. An electronic reverberation extension system ensures the variable adaptation of the room acoustics to classical concert events: This means that mobile sound-absorbing measures can be completely dispensed with, creating an excellent space for conferences, lectures and meetings that can be transformed into a concert hall at the touch of a button, so to speak.
A large number of loudspeakers installed in the walls and ceilings of the hall generate the sound reflections and reverberation required for classical concert events, so that a sound image similar to that of a real concert hall can be achieved. As the hall also has the corresponding room volume, the auditory impression and size of the room match.
