After several years, the headquarters of DOLBY Germany has moved to a new location in Nuremberg. The new office is located in the Marienberg 98 campus in the north of the city, where DOLBY has moved into two floors. The Franconian branch is one of the company's most important research and development locations worldwide.

Müller-BBM Building Solutions was responsible for the building and room acoustics consulting. In addition to modern office space, the new location also offers specialised laboratory and project rooms that provide outstanding working conditions for research and development thanks to customised acoustic solutions. The aim was to create an environment that ensures parallel and undisturbed working in all laboratories.

Several specialised laboratories were created, including a ‘Critical Listening Room’ for the evaluation of audio signal quality with a DOLBY Atmos loudspeaker arrangement, a ‘Mix Room’ for post-production and audio evaluation, as well as a ‘Multipurpose Audio Recording Room’ as a flexible recording room. The facility is complemented by DOLBY vision rooms for testing image quality and device compatibility.
