The Culturaö Complex Luz will be a significant addition to Latin America's largest cultural district. Together, they will form an urban ribbon of alternating green spaces and buildings, creating a new cultural destination closely linked to the Campos Elíseos region, a central area in São Paulo. The project is part of a larger initiative to revitalise Luz, one of the city's most run-down areas. By combining education, culture, arts and events, the Luz Cultural Complex aims to enhance the surrounding neighbourhood.

The Cultural Complex Luz aims to bring together dance and music, students and professionals, performers and audiences, and production and rehearsals in one place. Home to the São Paulo Dance Company and the Tom Jobim Music School with 2,000 students, the complex will include a 1,750-seat dance theatre, a 500-seat concert hall and a flexible experimental theatre with up to 400 seats, which will be used primarily for dance but will also host opera, theatre and music performances.
