DAGA 2026: Müller-BBM Group in professional exchange

Good acoustics often go unnoticed – they usually only become apparent when they aren’t working properly. At DAGA 2026, it took center stage for four days.

The programme covered key areas of current research and practice: building and room acoustics, traffic noise and environmental noise control, psychoacoustics, as well as measurement and evaluation methods. This was complemented by more specialized contributions, for example on unusual auditory phenomena (“parallel worlds of acoustics”) or even the acoustic perception of cheese. We have been happy to include the accompanying paper in our album below.
Throughout the discussions, it became clear time and again just how closely the fundamentals of physics, the context of use and perception are intertwined.

Visits to the Semperoper and the Kulturpalast Dresden, along with programme elements at the Frauenkirche Dresden and the Alter Schlachthof Dresden, complemented the technical content with built examples and provided numerous opportunities for professional exchange.

Our contributions on site:

“Consideration of maximum pass-by sound levels in environmental noise control” (Dr. Andreas Meier, consulting engineer)

“Suitability of an impulse source for reverberation time measurements” (Kilian Schneider, working student, TH Rosenheim)

In addition, together with Müller-BBM Industry Solutions GmbH, we presented a paper on the in-situ assessment of the acoustic properties of transparent noise barriers. Poster

Many thanks for the open discussions, the collegial exchange and the collaboration within the Müller-BBM Group, as well as for the smooth organisation.

We are already looking forward to DAGA 2027 in Darmstadt.
