Three projects – Three milestones for the cultural scene

Culture & Event

The Bergson Kunstkraftwerk was already in the spotlight last week and attracted a great deal of media attention. This was followed shortly afterwards by two further project completions of renowned cultural buildings, which were officially opened last weekend: the Theater an der Wien and the OPAL Mannheim.

Theatre an der Wien

After two and a half years of construction, the traditional theatre and opera house shines in new splendour. The reopening on 12 October 2024 was celebrated with a concert performance of Mozart’s ‘Idomeneo’, performed by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Arnold Schönberg Choir and a top-class cast. It was an honour to be part of this historic project and to make our contribution to the acoustics of this unique venue.

OPAL Mannheim

The replacement venue of the Mannheim National Theatre opened its doors and now once again offers space for opera and dance – a project that was particularly close to our hearts and was implemented in the area of room acoustics with the support of the Vivace system from Müller-BBM Acoustic Solutions GmbH. At the festive opening, the audience was greeted with the ‘Creations’ programme, a colourful mixture of music and opera history – from Monteverdi to Molière, Rossini and contemporary sound.

These recent references from the cultural sector fill our team of experts from our specialist area for room acoustics with particular pride and are just a selection from our broad portfolio – in addition to theatres and opera houses, we supervise construction projects in a wide variety of building typologies. Here you will find a selection of our diverse projects.
