With the opening of NEST – Neue Staatsoper in Vienna at the beginning of December, the opera city has created a special venue that connects generations and offers extraordinary musical experiences – from world premieres of children’s and youth operas to ballet and quiz shows to experimental productions.
Director Bogdan Roščić summarises it like this:
‘The acoustics were the nicest surprise – great transparency and clarity. Theatre needs a home – now we finally have a permanent home, a perfect little theatre for all the ideas that were previously impossible to implement in the main building.’
We are proud that Müller-BBM Building Solutions has helped to create a space in the historic Künstlerhaus that provides the perfect stage for an intense musical experience with 252 seats, optimal visibility for all and customised acoustics.
We are particularly pleased to complete this project in time for the Christmas season – a sound space that will light up the eyes and ears of young opera fans!
