In mid-January 2026, the new Therme Oberstdorf was officially opened following four and a half years of construction. Representatives from politics and public administration, along with the project partners, highlighted the development as an important contribution to Oberstdorf as a tourism and health destination.
Covering approximately 5,000 m², the spa combines bathing, sauna and relaxation areas into a cohesive and holistic experience. Architecture, indoor climate and technical systems are consistently aligned to provide a high level of comfort, thermal well-being and efficient operation.
As part of the project team, we were responsible for the integrated building physics consultancy and thermal simulations. The objective was to secure comfort, energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality early in the planning process and to implement them optimally through close interdisciplinary coordination.
