The "Grünwald Music School" has had its own building since February 2002. At the centre of the circular building is the August Everding Hall, a chamber music hall for over 300 listeners. Separated by corridors, the rooms of the music school are arranged around the hall over three floors. consisting of a large number of music lessons and rehearsal rooms and the administration area.

Acoustic aspects were already taken into account when planning the floor plan of the building. For example, no noisy rooms are directly adjacent to the chamber music hall. Where rehearsal rooms are adjacent to or above one another, all structural elements such as ceilings, walls etc. were dimensioned in such a way that simultaneous use is possible without acoustic impairment. For particularly loud music rooms such as the percussion rooms or the big band rehearsal room, this includes a masonry and elastically supported facing shell.
The radially diverging walls, which result from the circular floor plan of the building, eliminate the need for elaborate panelling to break up the parallelism of the walls. All classrooms and rehearsal rooms are equipped with variable acoustic
in the form of curtains to allow the acoustics to be customised. customisation of the acoustics.
