The indoor pool at Passau's peb adventure pool was newly built according to a design by architects hiendl schineis to complement the existing outdoor pool. The adventure pool is equipped with a 25 metre sports pool, an adventure pool, children's pool and saltwater pool as well as an outdoor slide and a spacious wellness and sauna area (Balineum). With the existing catering facilities, the new ensemble of buildings fully meets today's requirements for a modern fun and leisure pool for the whole family.

The main focus of the peb was to create a high-quality acoustic atmosphere and to avoid excessive reverberation and the associated high volume during bathing. This requirement was met very well by installing acoustically effective wooden panelling on the ceiling of the pool (wave) and on large sections of the walls. When selecting the acoustic materials, particular attention was paid to ensuring that, in addition to their sound-absorbing properties, they would also be able to withstand the more stringent climatic conditions of an indoor pool so that no damage could be expected in the long term.
