As part of an architectural competition, Titus Bernhard Architekten planned an ensemble consisting of a town hall, cultural centre and festival hall for the municipality of Bernried on Lake Starnberg.
The concept is based on the superstructure of a listed former beer cellar (summer cellar). An underground car park, the actual town hall and a community centre are arranged on top of this. The new town hall square opens up to the east and south with a view over the old town centre. The building is characterised by a structurally clear shell, which forms the face of the building with its vertically arranged wooden pilaster strips. In addition to the offices for the town hall, the town hall also houses the community hall and the wedding room.

Building and room acoustics planning services for the meeting room, conference rooms and offices were provided for the new town hall. As part of the commissioning process, a building physics investigation was carried out into possible condensation on exposed reinforced concrete parts in the entrance area. In addition, the contractor was advised on the detailed design of the relevant details of the facade construction.
