Bavaria’s Minister for the Arts, Markus Blume, was delighted:
‘A huge act of joy for our Bavarian State Theatre: After the ground-breaking ceremony last year, we are now celebrating the topping-out ceremony. The theatre stands for state-of-the-art ensemble theatre at the highest level. The structural conditions ensure short distances behind the scenes and create a common location for performers and decorations. With an investment of around 196 million euros, the rehearsal and workshop centre is the first building block of our ‘Munich Cultural Cascade’. Many thanks to the construction management and the craftsmen who are ensuring record speed here!’
