The seven-storey Grenanderhaus in Berlin-Mitte was built in 1930 based on designs by Alfred Grenander and is located on Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt. The listed brick building, once the headquarters of Berlin's public transport company, has been extensively renovated and redesigned for contemporary office use. The aim of the revitalisation is to combine historical building fabric with modern working environments. In future, the building will offer a flexible mix of open-plan areas, individually configurable workspaces, meeting rooms, lounges and additional facilities such as fitness and yoga areas. A total of around 7,080 m² of office space will be created. Internal connecting staircases with spacious communication zones encourage informal exchange. A wraparound roof terrace with a view of Alexanderplatz and around 100 bicycle parking spaces complete the utilisation concept. The building is certified with the LEED Gold sustainability certificate.
