Room Acoustics
The focus of the consultation for the new extension was on achieving appropriate sound insulation between the patient, doctor and therapy rooms as well as in relation to the communal and open-plan dining rooms. This made it possible to achieve a level of confidentiality appropriate to the sensitive use of the building in order to avoid mutual acoustic interference. In addition, the thermal insulation requirements in accordance with EnEV had to be taken into account. Due to the new installation of stationary building services systems, an acoustic forecast had to be prepared in order to determine the noise emissions of the planned systems. The noise impact on the surrounding residential buildings and on the company's own buildings was limited in accordance with the requirements of TA Lärm.
