The conversion of the former "Gasthof zur Post" was completed after around two years of intensive construction. The listed building, which is owned by the municipality of Lenggries, now houses a day care centre, a multi-purpose hall, office space and two residential units on the top floor.

The building physics consultation had to be carried out in compliance with all aspects of monument protection. For this reason, the thermal insulation of the building envelope could only be improved through moderate internal insulation, which was realised in the attic for residential use. The soundproofing of the old wooden beam ceilings was also carried out in compliance with the preservation order. In consultation with the architects, the corresponding ceiling structures were realised in compliance with the maximum construction heights.

In the multi-purpose hall, the old ceiling structure was to remain visible as a design element. Room acoustics measures adapted to this requirement were therefore developed in line with the architectural concept.
