Building Acoustics
Germany's largest market research institute, GfK - Growth to Knowledge - SE, is creating its new company headquarters at Sophie-Germain-Straße 3 - 5 in Nuremberg. The building has six floors above ground and is made up of three building blocks, with building block A to be leased to DATEV eG in future. GfK SE's headquarters will offer employees open-plan office space, modern meeting rooms, a company kindergarten and a fitness area. The main entrance to the building is via a two-storey foyer.
As part of the selective consultation on building and room acoustics, Müller BBM examined the room acoustics in the foyer, the "Well Being" fitness room and the open-plan offices as well as the sound insulation between the fitness room and the adjoining offices in the newly built head office of GfK SE in Nuremberg. In Building A, which is to be occupied by DATEV eG, extensive building acoustics measurements are also being carried out in order to ensure adequate sound insulation in its own area.
