The Hotel Königshof Munich, in a prominent location directly opposite the famous Munich Stachus, is one of the most prestigious hotel properties in the Bavarian capital. In 2013, an architectural competition was organised to redesign the Königshof. The renowned Spanish architects Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano emerged as the winners. Their design envisaged a modern and extravagant façade design made of natural stone that gives the entire hotel a homogeneous appearance. Müller-BBM Building Solutions took on the overall building physics consultancy for this project. Demolition of the old Königshof began in early 2019, and after a construction period of two and a half years, the new luxury hotel has been shining in new splendour since 2024. The new building has nine floors, 105 rooms and suites, a spa and wellness area, a sky bar, an exclusive restaurant with panoramic views, a pool on the 9th floor, a wine cellar, a city terrace and several conference areas. Retail space has also been integrated into the ground floor and basement.
