The Admiralspalast is a representative, listed building complex situated between Friedrichstraße and Planckstraße in Berlin-Mitte. As part of the construction measures, new office spaces were created through an extension and the conversion of a previously unused attic. The attic was supplemented with gallery levels, resulting in a two-story space with a ceiling height of eight meters. In addition to complying with the legally required building physics standards, the focus was particularly on ensuring good thermal and visual comfort, which was planned and optimized using complex room simulations. A notable feature was the use of low-iron glass with high daylight transmission. For the transition area from the old building to the new extension, consultation on sealing the foundation structure against pressing water was carried out.
