The "Havel Quartier Potsdam" is one of the largest residential construction projects in downtown Potsdam. Covering approximately 70,000 square meters of floor space, six building complexes are being constructed, featuring a mix of hotel, commercial, residential, and office units. Two of these, Blocks E and F, were completed in 2023. Block E provides 53 residential units, while Block F offers 122 residential units and two commercial units. Thanks to its central location by the River Havel, the development benefits from short distances and excellent transport connections.

The project’s main focus is on sustainable construction practices that conserve resources and promote a healthy environment. A carefully planned building envelope enhances energy efficiency, while precisely calibrated building acoustics ensure a high level of comfort for residents and employees. Key noise control measures address external noise from the nearby railway line. Additionally, special emphasis has been placed on internal sound insulation between residential units to meet growing tenant expectations. Random quality inspections successfully verified the enhanced sound insulation in accordance with DIN 4109-5. Both buildings are connected to the municipal district heating network with a significant share of combined heat and power, ensuring an efficient heat supply.

These building complexes unite modern architecture, urban diversity, and forward-thinking technical features. Careful planning and execution are reflected in an appealing overall concept that meets both the needs of residents and the requirements of commercial tenants and hoteliers alike.
