The EDGE HafenCity in Hamburg’s Elbbrückenquartier is an office building with approximately 25,600 m² of gross floor area above ground, designed by HENN Architekten for EDGE Technologies. The development combines flexible office space with conference, gastronomy and lounge areas and is designed to accommodate a variety of working styles as well as multi-tenant use. A seven-storey podium is complemented by a tower of around 15 storeys; a spacious atrium and roof terraces structure the building and create open communication and working areas.

The project follows a consistently sustainable building concept and meets high standards in terms of energy efficiency, user comfort and digital building infrastructure. Green retention roofs, photovoltaic systems and shared outdoor spaces support the ecological concept. The building has received several certifications, including the HafenCity Environmental Label and WELL Core & Shell Platinum.

Müller-BBM Building Solutions was responsible for the overall building physics consultancy. Services included building physics analyses and concepts covering building and room acoustics, sound insulation as well as building climate and thermal performance, ensuring high standards of comfort, sustainability and overall building performance.
