In the heart of the city of Zossen, the “KITASCHLOSS” project is creating a forward-looking educational and childcare facility for children. The project involves the comprehensive renovation and functional conversion of the former, listed hospital building into a modern daycare center offering a total of 167 childcare places for infants and preschool children.
The building concept includes spacious group rooms, multifunctional play areas, and a generous outdoor playground of approximately 1,800 m².

Special emphasis is placed on the sensitive handling of the historic building fabric and the integration of modern energy efficiency standards. The project is supported through funding from the Federal Support Programme for Energy-Efficient Buildings (BEG).

Another key aspect of the project is the comprehensive waterproofing consultancy, which is essential for the long-term preservation of the building, particularly in light of the specific structural conditions of the basement and plinth areas.
