The "Budapester Höfe" are part of the Stadthafenquartier Süd in the new Europacity development north of Berlin's main railway station. The seven-storey block development between Heidestraße and the Berlin-Spandauer-Schifffahrtskanal is home to around 200 rental flats, a daycare centre and retail space. There are 90 car parking spaces in the basement.

A particular focus of the building physics consultation here was the implementation of the extensive acoustic specifications from the textual stipulations of the development plan. These related in particular to the floor plan constraints, the requirement for soundproofed ventilation systems and compliance with the sound insulation requirements for the building envelope and outdoor living areas. Special window constructions were also required, planned and ultimately also implemented in the building to allow natural ventilation of the living spaces on the one hand, but also to ensure that a maximum sound pressure level of 30 dB(A) can be maintained within the living spaces on the other. For all classic building physics issues, such as internal sound insulation, sound insulation against external noise and thermal insulation in summer and winter, the relevant building law certificates were prepared.
