The new spa centre is a modern, two-storey cubic structure, which is connected to the old spa building by a glass central building. Together, the two buildings form the "ALEXBAD" ensemble. In addition to the central panoramic pool area with 300 m² of water surface, spread over three swimming pools with water temperatures between 30°C and 35°C and various options for aqua aerobics, visitors can enjoy two saunas and a steam bath as well as a spacious relaxation room with a fireplace. The new building also has a fitness studio with approx. 200 m² of training space as well as treatment rooms for physiotherapy. The interior design is characterised by natural elements such as stone, granite, wood and glass, which emphasise the external character of the spa.At the express wish of the client, the focus was on achieving a pleasant acoustic atmosphere in the sense of a cosy experience. A particular challenge in the interior design was to harmonise the high demands of the architecture, taking into account the requirements for bathroom construction, with the room acoustics requirements. Particular emphasis was placed on creating a quiet acoustic ambience in all common areas in accordance with their use. The room damping measures were adapted to the individual interior design planning, e.g. by installing sound-absorbing light ceilings in the panorama bath area.
