With the Stadthaus am Markt, Frankfurt is getting a new first-class event building. Located in the south of Frankfurt's new old town, the Stadthaus am Markt draws its charm from the historical dimensions of the location: the light-flooded assembly hall for 150 people hovers right above the remains of the walls of the Carolingian imperial palace. Several seminar rooms and state-of-the-art event technology perfectly complement the existing space available in the city center.
The building was planned as a passive house as far as possible. In all planning phases, i.e. from the design concept to the execution details, structural measures for sound and heat insulation were selected in close coordination with the general planner in such a way that the individuality of the architecture was not restricted.
Particular attention was paid to the metal-covered shell of the event hall to ensure sufficient sound insulation against external noise even in the event of heavy rainfall. Taking into account the unusual geometry and room height of the assembly hall, specially adapted room acoustics measures were developed to ensure high speech intelligibility during meetings, conventions and conferences.
