In Landsberg am Lech, a psychiatric day clinic for the outpatient treatment of both adolescents and adults was built adjacent to the existing hospital grounds according to a design by Fritsch + Tschaidse Architekten. The building comprises a ground floor, first floor and a partial basement. While the basement mainly contains storage and technical areas, the ground floor and first floor house the central entrance hall as well as various treatment and communal rooms and associated ancillary areas such as registration, waiting areas, sanitary facilities and changing rooms. The uses are grouped around the central inner courtyard. The aim of the planning was to create a cost-effective yet functionally high-quality building.

Müller-BBM Building Solutions was entrusted with the overall building physics consultation for this project. In order to comply with the requirements of both the Energy Saving Ordinance 2014 and the Renewable Energies Heat Act, heat generation was realised by means of a wood pellet boiler in close coordination with the building services planner, as the initially planned connection to the heat supply of the existing building did not prove to be expedient. Müller-BBM Building Solutions also assisted with the KfW subsidy applications as the planning progressed. In terms of building acoustics, the confidential doctor's areas in particular had to be protected, and high-quality door constructions were used for this purpose.
