With its striking architecture and state-of-the-art stage technology, the new building of the four-section theater in Rostock creates a lively dialog between the historic Lange Straße and the independent, representative solitaire on the Warnow. Two performance spaces - the main house and the independent stage - as well as foyer areas, rehearsal stages, ballet and choir hall, vocal rooms and workshops form the basis. Our AV planning integrates variable network technology, multifunctional lighting (including moving heads), 4K video and projection technology as well as line array sound reinforcement with subwoofers and a digital audio network - thus meeting the highest demands for flexibility and performance. At the same time, Müller-BBM Building Solutions is developing a comprehensive room acoustics concept: thanks to variable acoustics - including textile absorber blinds, sound reflectors and an adaptable stage backdrop - the acoustics in the main auditorium are optimized for drama, opera, ballet and concerts depending on the situation. The balance between speech intelligibility (short reverberation times) and musical liveliness (longer reverberation times) is achieved through simulation-based planning.
